I'm happy to announce that my music is now on rotation in three different cities!!! Many many thanks to DJ Junior at WKDU 91.7 in Philly, and to DJ Cody at WBAI 99.5 in New York! Last, but definitely not least, much love to DJs Shabbaz and Tenesio at WRFG 89.3 and a big sack-o-love to the legendary Ken Batie at WCLK 91.9, all in Atlanta, for bumping my single - Once Again - and having me in the studio for live interviews!! Y'all are angels, without whom this journey would be impossible, and I'm forever in your debt...

I just wrapped up my short Spring Tour with two dates - one at the Takoma Station Tavern in DC, hosted by new Jive Records artist Raheem DeVaughn and headlined by the Philly Soul Diva Lady Alma. Thanks to the DC crowd, Raheem and Lady A for being so hospitable..... The final hit was at the famous Five Spot in Illy Philly. I wanna give a special shout out to all the Philly folk for being such a great audience and letting me perform for you - it was a wonderfully memorable night for me (birthday cake aside!) and I couldn't have thought of a better way to finish off the past couple of months of performances - gracias from the bottom of my heart, y'all!

If you haven't been to Atlanta, you need to fix that. Don't go in the Spring - the pollen will smother you - but definitely go !! :) I need to say an extra special thank you to Atlanta for welcoming me down there like you did and letting me share my songs. Inspite of your better judgment, y'all had me doing live radio interviews AND opening for Donnie at the Apache Cafe - what's WRONG WITH YOU?! ;) Seriously, thank you Atlanta, for opening your arms - I loved the energy down there and will MOST DEFINITELY return!!

To all the Boston and Harvard folk that came to Red Line on Tuesday night this week, thanks for keeping it DRUNKY and FUNKY!!! It felt great to be back and play in familiar territory - thanks for all the good vibes!!

And to everyone that was there at the Cutting Room, thanks for being so patient y'all - I know you all had glamorous Friday night plans, and I appreciate your sticking it out despite the delay. I had a blast up there (in case you didn't notice!!) and y'all were a phenomenal audience!! Thanks for packing the house and making it such a special evening..... WHO MIKE JONES?!?!?!?!

Hey y'all, some of my gigs have been moving around because of last-minute venue and travel logistics. BUT, I'm still playing in all the places I was going to play. Some quick updates: There's no NY gig at Alibi this Wednesday, but there's a gig at The Cutting Room on Friday; The DC gig has moved from the 9th to the 17th; The Atlanta gigs will all happen during the week of the 11th, details TBA. Check the Calendar for details on time and $...

So I got tired of my old site and am in the process of trying out a few different ideas. This here's the first one - with a brand new GUESTBOOK so you can send me very scandalous messages. So I'm back in NY for a few weeks and will be doing a couple of dates in the city, as well as taking a little tour from Boston to DC to Atlanta, just me and my piano!! I'm psyched to be taking my music on the road - if you've got friends and kin in any of those cities, tell them to take a break from the grind and come GET FUNKY!! ;) Dates and details are being constantly updated on the calendar, so keep comin' back.....

People, it's official. Believe it or not, Oxford has soul. Or at least seems to like it. Thanks to all the folks that came out to the two acoustic gigs this weekend - Linacre Common Room's never gonna be the same. And a special thanks to The LIP magazine for inviting me to headline for the issue-launch at Cellar Bar. What a fantastic crowd - y'all somehow didn't mind an acoustic soul set after some inspiring alt rock (We The Starling are the hotness - you heard it here first). Thanks for the head nodding, for singing along, for being f$%#ing fantastic - Can't wait to play the Cellar again!

Thanks to all the folks that helped keep it funky at West 14 last night. And give it up for the tastiest backup band in all of London! Great to feel so welcomed in a new city, people - it was "a good laugh" (and there was some HOTNESS in that audience, damn!)

Hey y'all,

The new album has been getting great reactions from industry folks I've passed it around to, and several distributors are excited to put it out in the States and the UK. I know I've been promising to get albums to you for a while now (and some of you have it already!!), but my manager and I have decided to push the "official" release date back to the spring, to have a better shot at marketing it properly.
So....please be patient :) I'm really excited about this album, and can't wait for y'all to hear the full thing!!

To all the folks that rolled out for the shows yesterday at Alibi's and Tuesday at Joe's Pub, thank you for helping make the nights so special!

It was great to be back in NY - just can't beat that energy. And y'all were fantastic audiences. Thanks for making me feel at home and for letting me share my songs.

Hey y'all,

I want to thank everyone that came to the listening party last Tuesday for all the positive vibes. This album was sweat and tears all summer, and it's wonderful to know y'all were feeling it. Of course, since I made it to share with you, you'll soon be able to take it home and listen some more on your own. Hopefully you'll like it even better the second, third, fourth time . . . .

Beautiful peoples!!! Somehow, I finished this CD and am not in the poorhouse yet. I'm very proud of how it came out, and will have it available for sale soon - watch this space!

In the meantime, I will be putting samples of the songs up in the downloads section of the website - please feel free to have a listen and let me know what you think...
